im joining the RE, with a bit of luck before xmass if someone drops out, if not the date is feb. Im then gonna go for the all arms para course.

with a bit of luck my fitness levels should increase a fair bit once im in the army.... not that im unfit now. But at the level i am now i wouldnt want to ...

just to let you know, ive decided to go for RE and do the all arms para course.

as for the press ups, i was over training, i only use to rest sundays and each day i would do 3 sets of max.

im now doing 2 days on, 1 day rest, and can hit 50 easy now and still have room to push more.

if i was you (your age) i would just chuck myself into any sports possible, join the cross country running club, i wouldnt bother with road running as you will only shag your knees up. you could do press ups and sit ups but they aint to important if you have such a long term plan, you will only need ...

I havent been through it before, but am trainning for it.....
I dont think you can ever train ''hard enough'' - you have to be constantly pushing the limits to what you think is max, because this is what they will do to you at p-coy. (what I have read, etc.)
And the other thing is not to think about ...

its not that far unless you keep falling of the edge, then your are unlucky!
mainly because you would have failed!

Falling = failing + pain

but the pain from failing will be more than falling.

If it was that bad they wouldnt let you on it.

Like ed said, dont fall.... your chances of passing are ...

I was thinking along the lines of the challenger 2, But I think my first choice is going to be RE-para, and 2nd choice as tankcrew.

But it depends on fitness i suppose....

does any one know of any one in the army who has had the treatment?

if yes did they have it before joining or once in?

Anyone know the score on it once in the army?... ie are you allowed it once in?

Tank crew

Thinking about joining the army as tank crew after being strongly advised by the AFCO not to join the para's due to my BARB test scores, gcse's etc.

does anyone know the score on this role?
What do they do in non operational roles... ie ive been told they sit around and answer the phone??? any one ...

As for branch choice.

dont really fancy the int corps - to office jobby - what im doing at the moment - and hate it!

did think about the RE and still thinking about it.

was also thinking of tankcrew, any one have any info on these ...

I have looked at the press up pages before and tried the advice, but have reached a maximum and cant seem to pass this point.
