Is anybody starting at Pirbright on the 19th of January? I've read that a few people on here are starting on the 12th and i was just wondering do they get new intakes every week? :-?

yeah pirbright have a new intake every monday, and there is a new intake of girls evry 3rd monday.

Im in week 10 ...

I'm exactly the same, i can run for ages without a problem but when i try and sprint i just dont seem to get anywhere very fast lol

try looking at this website, it has tips on sprinting and explains what the body is doing etc, you might find it useful :wink:

Am joining the nursing corps

Im a girl though so no handbag jokes lol, the lads that were on my nursing selection got the pi** ripped out of them for wanting to join the QARANC bless them :lol:

they are a laugh as long as you do as your told.

There were a few people there that treated it like abit of fun wouldn't listen when the pti's were explaining how to use the static lift and other things, it was for our own safety but they thought they knew better, might i add them people failed ...

yeah you can probably use the army mod site and print off a sheet, when i say they ask you questions about it, they dont spend like 10 minutes asking you the history, its more to make sure you know what you are letting yourself in for lol

They ask you how you think the 2 days went, what you feel you could have done better on, what you enjoyed most.

They ask how your family feels about you joining, how you feel about getting deployed, and the fact that you could be killed one day.

how many heaves did you do? and i bought a bar so im guna put it up and practice.

I was quite nervous but it helped that we were seperated into groups of about 12 in the medical, so you only do it in front of that 12 people, plus ...

for the ice breaker there is a board with different catergories on it, for example family, where you live, hobbies etc etc. Just say a little about each catergory, its easy you just tell the truth lol

And the heaves are not a pass or fail, its just a bonus if you can do a few. There were people ...
