Hi,is the pw3 course restricted to mls if not what is the lenght of time you must serve before application?How difficult is the course and have you been on it?How hard is it to enter bpt or the recce group?I am not yet a marine but when i eventualy get in I would love to be a ml.Cheers ,matt.

Are you thinking of the pathfinder unit within the paras ,they are part of the British rapid reaction force and take part in behind the lines recon.Matt

Marines train in fibua ,fighting in built up areas this is taught in the final section of your training .Although it is not like the stuff on tv ,fibua is done in full belt order ,no spec ops black assault suits .I did some in a cadet excersise once and it was great flash bangs everywhere.matt

I am in the RIR ACF and am due to go on a NCO
leadership course in St.Patricks barracks can you give me any advice or tips before I go ,the focus seems to be on drill and your leadership ability on command tasks .Any advice whould be apreciated .

Have you considered joining the Royal Marines
Reserve ?If you do join the TA I would suggest there is a minimum return of service to do so you may find your self very busy later on if you get into the RM.Depending on which college you go to some have cadet detachments and although these are part of ...

I have heard Mr Blair has/intends to hand the rock of Gibraltar back ,will this mean the loss of the rock on the RM cap badge?Cheers ,matthew.

You think thats good im in the ACF and my unit is attached to the RIR .When we were down at Ballykillnar practising for the Colonels cup most of us did better on the run/assault course than the regulars and the youngest on the team was 12.
