I was arrested and banned from driving for 12 months last year for drink driving. Would this have any effect on an application to the army?

army basic training similar to RM phase 1 training?

Hi there. I did 14 weeks of RM training in 2007. I decided it wasn't for me and I'm at college now doing engineering. But recenly I have been looking at the REME with a view to joining next year when I finish college. My question is: Is army basic training similar to phase 1 royal marine training? I...

It was basically because of my girlfriend. I was missing her a lot and didnt see how i'd see her much more even if I passed out at the end. Also, I hate to admit this, but I'm quite a lazy person by nature and we'd just come off exercise, and I was thinking 'theres no way im going on another exercis...

948 troop

I was a recruit with 948 troop at CTC until I left in week 15. I was just wondering if anyone on here was part of 948 and if they know who ended up passing out. It would be really interesting to find out.

I left RT last year at week 15. I think about training a lot and often wonder if I made the right decision. I left in the end because I was missing the girlfriend too much. I knew that if I passed out then I would see her even less than the odd long weekend in RT. I hated most of RT, especially the ...

He's right mate. I mentioned to my careers advisor about a little bit of knee pain I had fealt only once when running and they made me go and see a specialist in portsmouth which added 6 months onto my joining process. And I didnt even have anything on my medical records. It's hard to give advice to...

5 mile run was the longest so far, not a balls out pace though. A couple of 4 mile runs as well. 1st distinguished pass in probably at least 15 years. 8) . Knew there was a bloke from Taunton just trying to remember who you are Doughnut... 947 might have the first distinguished gym passout for year...

nice, you say PT easy? what stuff they make you doing then at the current moment?? I wouldn't say easy, but it's just what you train for, you don't train at ironing your bed sheets or folding your socks so that they have smiley faces at the end. We've been doing stuff like circuit training and spri...
