I'm currently serving RA soldier(14 Years) and you are on the frontline just as much as the Infantry boys,beleive me i have the medals and scars to prove it, but thats what most of us join for,i have no regrets.

Batco is so outdated and slow that any battle or contact would probably be over before you get a decent amount of info across.

Also in Iraq at the moment the Troops are using insecure clansman on the lower formation nets.Their is not enough DMU's to go around and comms is a major problem ...

the SA80 A2 is a exellent weapon,having fired it "in action" it has given the confidence back to the soldier on the ground.the only problem is the magazines,they get buckled really easy.the minimi is the best section support weapon i have ever used .it should be issued to all.
