Can anyone tell me if the different Battalions have their own individual roles or do they all do the same job and when you join do you get the choice which one you go to?

Do members of the parachute regiment get trained in close quarters combat?
Also are different battalions trained to do different tasks, if so what are they?
I have looked on the parachute regiment site but it isnt much of a help.
Any help would be great cheers

Well my eyes are -2.5 so hopefully i should be fine then. There wont be any difference between the officers standerds and the soldiers should there?

my eyesight is about -2.75, I think that is about 6/36 would this prevent me from joining the rm

What are the eyesight requirements for joining the RAF regiment and is it ok to wear glasses or contact lenses?

dose anyone know what the eyesight requirements for joining the paras are? I wear contact lenses now would this prevent me from joining?
