Promotion is much better as a Tech in the REME. I'm not sure about Ammo Tech in the RLC. One thing you have to remember is that Tech training is long! Some of the Air Techs were in trade training for 3 years! I was in there for 1 and a half years.

I thought that the programme was good. Some of the c**p that those guys had to put up with were no doubt beyond the realms of most of the "populous". I don't doubt though that real SAS selection procedures are far more tougher then what they endured.
