12 mins 20 will get you a lot of extra PT mate and believe me that is the last thing you want. If you fail any running or fitness tests they can backclass you. Assuming you are under twenty five 11 mins 13 secs is more than attainable you just need to want it badly enough.

You would be in line for employment as an interpreter. You will require good language skills both English and Foreign. Quite difficult to get into and with a long waiting list. You will be qualified to work for intelligence units should it be required or wished.

Depends on your ship and what operations you are involved in at the time. Any deployments (shore) longer than six months i believe you can take your spouse with.
Warfare training will take up to two years and this is spread across sea training, HMS Collingwood, and Dartmouth.

Currently serving as a Tiff in Collingwood. Regarding tests to join they are pretty noddy and for someone with your quals. you should have no real difficulty passing them so long a syou keep your head together. Currently undergoing "streaming" at HMS Collingwood. This is where the navy decide where they need the manpower. If they need you to go submariner you have very little say in the matter.

Run is 2.4 km that is roughly 1.5 miles if you are under 25 you have to do it in 11mins 13s

AEA is the most difficult to get selected for you will have to be the dogs bollocks to get in as one.
You will also have to sit extra lessons and exams in your spare time.
To give you an idea as to how exclusive it is:

Tiffs Course

Currently serving in HMS Collingwood on the third phase of Tiffs training (the long two year haul).
The ten weeks in Raleigh is apparently being dropped to eight.

The RNR is the way to go! You get to do bugger all
Get paid to do it
And it looks great on the ol CV
Also they will happily pay for you to gain further quals. in the mean time.!!!!
