age limit? civilians?!

I'm 26 years old, can I join the australian sas when I 27 or 28 years old? what is the age limit?
I heard that civilians can join as well, someone heard about the name of the program?

Should I serve in the military if I want to join the Australian SAS or that I take part in the selection phase even that I'm not a soldier?

There's a page on the Australian Defence Force website about doing just that. I can't remember the exact details but I think you can. Do you mean exchange as in like a 2-year posting or a permenant transfer?

1. Exactly the same, if not better in some regards

2. Training missions? Yes. As for operational missions in "peacetime"... probably, but they don't tell the public about them.

3. Virtually identical to British SAS. Very tough.

First of all, I would like to thank to all the good guys here who have responded to my message and especially to those who stand up for me against those who don't know what is tolerance and democracy.

War is a bad thing and I wish we haven't had it. I wish we could "close" the combat units ...

Yoy are right, I don't have a citizenship in the UK.

In answer to your second question, I have tried everything I could, unfortunately the bureaucracy is stronger than me, and if you are not 18 years old you can't join those special units.

it's not worth for them to pay a lot of money to ...
