All I can suggest is you try your hardest whilst at the RSC guys. And get as fit as you can before hand.

Best of luck lads!

Well done Army!!

I was one of the 35,000 at Twickenham on Saturday afternoon watch you sink the Navy 53-16!

Brilliant match and a dominating second half.

Well done ElDiablo! I will take your advise with me on the 13th when I'm at Pirbright. I hope to god I can get in - I have been training hard for the past couple of months near enough every day and I have felt myself getting fitter and fitter with every passing week.

I'm going to try to get into the Signals, Technician Group, Systems Engineering Technician (Systems) as I am an IT administrator at the moment and have done about 4 1/2 years of that kind of work, that's what the Recruitment Centre suggested I go for.

One thing that kind of 'frightened' me, or opened my eyes, was the RSC video I watched the other day.

In it they interviewed a couple of recruits that said they had tried 2 and 3 times to get in! And one of the training Corporals there said a lot of people have to come back for a second try...

All ...

True true. I found a nice page just yesterday:

http://www.atra.mod.uk/Atra/ITG/ATRP/student_info/training_program/index.htm

They mention the importance of 3 proper square meals a day that everyone keeps harping on about - guess I'll have to do that! :-) Have a look though Kiwi; good reference ...

Hi Kiwifella!

Thanks very much for your reply.
Up until the last week I had been doing longer distance 'medium pace' running/jogging to up the old cardiovascular (sp?) which worked to a tea as you have been doing. Long runs down Public Foot Paths and the like (live out in the sticks!).

General Fitness tips

I am going to the RSC at Pirbright on the 13th May and have been for the past nearly two months been slowly upping my fitness level overall.
