Thats another thing that gets me, people who collect medals, shoulder flashes and things like that. WHY?? They haven't earned them, what are they going to do with them, show them to their grandchildren and when they ask what they did to get them, "Ah, well, I got a good deal on this one, the bloke on ebay gave me discount..."
There are 3 kinds of people: those who can count & those who can't.
When people left my cadets they kept their capbadge off their berets. When I had to leave, I handed it in, my CO asked me why and I told him that I hadnt earnt it.
He said that was one of the most mature things he's heard since being CO cadets.
Out of order and once again sorry, Have Medals or did have medals but sold them when Wife was suffering from the dreaded "C" about 12 years ago. So I could drive her to Christies everyday. Had to Jack in work so no income.
