It's not a poor landing, but merely a tactical ploy. To lull the enemy into a false sence of security. So when then enemy are on the floor pissing themselves laughing, grenades land at their crotch! 'Voila'

It's actually the RLC!!!

An old mate of my girlfriend was there when it was filmed last year at Umm Qasar (sp?), he was in the Commando Engineers. Apparantly a group of RLC squaddies had watched the marines do beach landings and started taking the piss saying that it was easy and anyone could do it.

Up for a laugh the marines let em have a go with the hilarious results the world has now witnessed!!
