Tattoos

Post by dootybooty »

Watching the reports of Brit football fans in Portugal it struck me how manyof them were tattooed. I began to wonder if it is a particularly Brit trait to mutilate your body in this way. Could it be a genetic hangover from our Celtic/Druidic past?
I managed to last ten years in the Corps without getting tattooed and most of the guys I know who had them now regret getting them done. Any comments?
Keep the faith.

As a Fart down the Strasse in Guz me and three others decided to have our blood group tattooed on our upper arms.

The three had it done I changed me mind. And got flak for being a wimp.
Aint got any and don't want any.

Well remember one bloke who had hinges done on all of his joints. Loads of others with various bits and bobs all done under the fluence of the dreaded Booze.

One Three Badger had across the inside of his right hand "UP YOUR GUTS"
and on his left Palm "TA VERY MUCH" So at pay parade he would hold out the left hand with the thankyou and as he saluted his true feelings towards the Officer class was also revealed. He was one of the first people to have his pay paid directly into the Bank. And strangely was never promoted. :D

I saw a 'lady' yesterday, apparently/hopefully/presumeably 7 monthsish pregnant. She was telling the world on her mobile about her life's ups and downs; wearing a cropped T shirt, flip-flops, and skirt. Her legs were covered in naff tats as were her arms and shoulders. her mouth matched her legs and her 'son' should have been in Skoole, but needed to help mum collect her gyro and then shop for her drugs.
Lovely.

Hmmm most people seem to regret getting tatoo's, including this one guy i met he was built like a tank, he was in the MOD (not sure weather it was the army or Navy or whatever) but he had this Massive tatoo right accross his whole back, on the tatoo was pictures from vietnam, portraits of real people and pictures of helicopters etc, it was a big war scene. Dunno if i'll be getting a tatoo cause at the time there very cool but after a wee while you dont like them.

Thanks Shifty !!

I am not too keen on tatoos. But i would like one or two that are not just pictures but have relevance. When i pass out in the Parachute Regiment, i plan to have the cap badge tatooed on my traps because it would look perfect there, i can't see it and it would look very nice when i had my top off :D The other i would like on my on my forearm, but i dont know what to get so its just a thought on that one.

Tattoos are fine on men as long as they're done by a proper tattoo artist, however I think they look horrible on women, just my personal preference.

I'm getting one in a few weeks, when I can afford to have it done properly, but I'm getting it on my upper arm, and short sleeves will cover it.

Mate of mine managed to get "Royal Marnes Commando" tattooed on his arm in Taunton. News travelled fast, and when he went into the Galley that night the place erupted. More laughs than watching the CO in a sod's opera :D

They squeezed the missing i where it should have been the next day

Laugh??
