This is how it happens... I didn't volunteer!!!

Post by Big Boys Rules »

Boy walks into a careers office and meets the recruiting CSgt, who was coincidentally a Royal Anglian, the same regiment the boy wants to join as he has been training with them on and off for about two years and is keen as mustard on his local regiment.
Anyhow, the boy does his tests and gets asked what job he wants, "Royal Anglians please" says he, sure in his mind of the path his career will take.
"You can't join the Anglians" the CSgt says and proceeds to tell the boy about battle honours parades and all the reasons under the sun that the Anglians are out. He says to the boy "Boy like you, can do any job in the Army, any job at all, make another choice"
So the boy thinks, and apart from the Anglians he'd not heard much about the services, but the choice had to be made... "The Paras" the boy says, seen them on TV, the CSgt laughs and says "You can't join the paras, you're not tall enough, and besides you can do any job in the army, any job, make another choice" (lucky escape huh?)
Now the boy is starting to get the hang of this, he can do any job in the Army so he decides, this is the one for him... "Pilot in the Air Corps please"
The CSgt by this time has obviously had enough he says "Dream on sunshine, you want to be an ammo tech... sign here"
In hindsight... how the hell did this happen?
And if I've learnt one thing, if I have a choice between being good and being lucky, I chose lucky!!!
(only joking paras)

I think I've cracked this one before but what the hell;

If at first you don't succeed, bomb disposal probably isn't for you!
