I personally know two air loadmasters..i would suggest writing a letter to your nearest AFCO explaining you are thinking of applying for this job etc and ask if you can visit an RAF station to see what the job entails first hand. Hopefully they will contact you and you can arrange a visit to be with an airloadmaster for the day at a station. i know that a few NCO Air Loadmasters at RAF Lyneham have a 2nd duty to show visitors the daily life of what they do...however as you know a large part of an airloadmasters job happens in the air. You can actually fly with an airloadmaster if, and only if you are an air cadet. if you are a cadet stress this in your letter and ask if you could fly, this way they will arange for you to visit on a day when they fly (obviously). You must take your cadet log book on the day.

I am thinking about bein a loadie to or possibly a weapons system officer, due to not being able to be a pilot.

Im going to go to the AFCO and talk to someone because i especially want to fly on the chinook!

Does anyone know of any good jobs which could mean i fly on the hinook?
