Post by Grimey Vibes »

Hi,

I am just about to finish the second year of my BTEC National Diploma Sport Development & Fitness and on Thursday signing up for the army (Infantary).

I am trying to find out as much as possible so i am well prepared and this is a very good site/forum so i thought i would join.

I dont know what else to say except 'heres to the joyful times ahead' :drinking:

Right now i dont know, i just want to do Infantary, wouldn't mind the paras though but that can wait as you can apply to join at anytime whilst on service so i aint in a rush to do that.

Jeez Goldie,
how much are they paying you.
Would you want a bod in the RMP who can't spell Infantry?

Much better title than "new hand holds his member up" :o

Good opening. Your frankness will gain you serious responses. What are your personal preferences?

I noticed your comment on "Infantry" sometimes it's the details that matters. Where do you see your strengths?

Grimey.
As Pongologs said,attention to detail.
You won't get along well on this forum unless you take the time to spell your posts correctly. We may be old fashioned, but we write English(even us Americans)Texting is not acceptable.
Alright m8?

I see my strengths as having good communication skills, ability to work as part of a team and i DO NOT like to fail, i will just get up and try again and again and again untill someone tells me i can't do it again.

Well i have now learned that i can now spell 'infantry' properly now, so learning from my own mistakes can be one as well, i am sure that the odd spelling mistake is acceptable?

OK, you are mastering the art of spelling and yes the odd spelling mistake is acceptable. However, don't stop there - feel free to use the odd (no, not peculiar) capital letter.

I was asked today what Regiment i wanted to join, but i didnt have a clue what ones there was. He suggested Grenadiers (sp?) as he has served there for the last 23 years. I said anyone that is related to Manchester :) as thats my home city. He is looking into it for me. He also suggested Kings something :-? but its full of scousers, no thankyou, not that i dont like them i dont think i could handle a whole regiment full of scouse accents.
