lads army
corporal nayoklas (or whatever) apparent;ly lives near me in hertfordshire
Just copied this from "DigitalSpy.co.uk". Seems to be authoritative enough, although does call the Coporals officers for some unknown reason!:
"
A second, "even tougher" series of Lad's Army is being planned for next summer, according to the Media Guardian today.
In Bad Lad's Army, 30 young offenders aged between 18 and 24 will be sent to a boot camp to undergo a gruelling basic army training scheme for four weeks.
"There's an element of social experiment. It will be a question of whether or not Bad Lads Army will have an effect on participants' future behaviour," a source told the website. "They won't necessarily all have criminal records. They may be kids who have been excluded from school for truancy or anti-social behaviour."
The two "officers" from last year's show, Richard "Nookie" Nauyokas and Joe Murray, will be back to put the new recruits through their paces.

lol its a good question massey!
Basically my my best mate's dad is Brigadier Hughes, Cmdr 12 (Mech) Bde. Before he commanded the brigade, he was a CO of the STAFFORDS and so when i said i wanted to join the army, he said why not go to his old regiment. All i knew was that i wanted to be an infantry officer and that I didn't want to serve with my local unit (PWRR) for a number of reasons. So that was a year ago and now I have just got back from my second week with them in 9 months.
I will join after university so still a few years away, but I go back for full weeks whenever I am invited and stay in the mess. I went to ATR Lichfield last summer to see what the guys go thru to become STAFFORD soldiers - looks hard work but Whittington Barracks is a nice place. The accomadation for trainees is good and the ranges are very good and right on the doorstep. I expect you already know all this so sorry if I am insulting you!
You have chosen a good time to join up - they are going to BATUS in November and then on an emergency tour of Iraq summer 2005, so you are going to see a lot of places pretty quickly. I will hopefully be going back in the summer so when you join up tell me what company u r in. Failing that just look out for a new subby called Fowler in, say, 2008/9!
Good luck on Monday mate
Chris

Yeah nice one chris, I think you've made a good choice of regiment
I know about the planned tour of Iraq can you explain what the BATUS is all about please? I should be getting into battalion around November time so I will hopefully be involved in whatever that is.
I went on a trip to Tidworth a couple of weeks ago and i thought it was quality. we got a ride in the warriors and everything.
Cheers for the good luck I just hope you don't mind serving with a load of brummy's and stokies!
Hopefully come accross you in the future sometime.
cheers massey,
