For a research project at University of Bremen, Germany, I am looking for aerial photographs of areas adjacent to the city of Cilacap in Java, Indonesia. I am especially interested in historical aerial photos of the Segara Anakan lagoon from the 1930s and 1940s (map: https://www.google.de/maps/@-7.7036709, ... a=!3m1!1e3).
Looking at the military engagement of Japanese, Dutch, British and US-forces in Southeast Asia during World War II and the importance of Cilacap (then “Tjilatjap”) and its harbour, I already contacted most relevant scientific and public archives in these countries without making much progress, unfortunately. I also went through the material that is available from the former Allied Geographical Section (AGS).
Do you know of any potential sources of such photographs? Any help would be much appreciated! If you need further information, feel free to ask.
Thank you in advance!
