Sample discharge letter.

Post by philthy »

Greetings all.

Myself and some fellow students are making a short film about a returning soldier who has lost the use of his legs. He is in a wheelchair. His legs may not be permanently damaged, but it is unlikely he would ever serve in the army again. One of the scenes shows him receiving a letter from his unit stating that he is not making progess, or words to that effect.

Does anybody know how the letter would look/sound? has anybody received such a letter, or know somebody who has.

Also there is another scene where he looks at a picture of his father on his bedside cabinet. He was also a military man and inspired his son to join the army initially. Basically I would like a picture to use in the film and would like to have an authentic person rather than a random google image. So is there anyone out there middle-aged who has a picture of themselves in a military uniform that would like their picture featured in this short film?

Thanks to anyone who can help

It would be more like an interview face to face with people around that can then advise him on what they can do for him rather than an impersonal letter. Of course this would would then be confirmed in writing along with all his options that have been agreed on to that date.
