re joining - a few questions.
hello forum,
last week i completed a 203 on the hope of rejoining the royal engineers but although successfully getting clearance from Glasgow i have since been told that i can not re join the royal engineers as there not recruiting for my trade. slightly gutted..
however iv been told i can apply for infantry although i may only be offered a 12 year contract.
my question to the forum is, if i was to rejoin as a infantry soldier would my previous military pay stay the same or would i go back to recruits pay? also would my accumulated LLSA days stay as they were ( over 1000) or would i start with a clean slate? i was told (although naffi talk) that if you rejoin the army navy or Raf that your pay would always remain the same.
any information or previous experience regarding pay from re-joiners much appreciated.
regards barnaby

This is a bite,right?
Are you sure you passed selection the first time.
With your spelling and grammar the Royal Engineers would not give you a second glance.
What was your"Trade"Stenographer?
