is 28 to old?

Post by matthop »

Just wanted to get a few opinions, I joined the marines back when I was 21 and left after getting fed up in Hunter troop looking back this is the worst decision I have ever made. I'm now nearly 28 and want to give it ago again i'm not as fit as I was but I know I can get my fitness back with some hard work.
To the people who have been and done it and got the lid, will I be to old in training or do people ignore the age and go off ability?
Thanks in advance to any replies and anyone on here did you pass out in 874 troop??

Not too old, but I'd suggest you get your finger out and get down to the AFCO as you could well be 30 before you get a slot!

Just noticed on the recruiting website that the joining age has gone up another year to 33.
I've heard that the corps, army etc are all getting full and turning older recruits away, so why have they done this?
Any ideas? Is it in danger of cultivating false hopes in older blokes...?
