has anyone got any tips on how i can get my run time down because i am really struggling with it but my sit-ups press-ups and heeves are ok they would get me in know proble

what is ur run time???
all i can say is keep practisin and mybe do abit of hill sprinting that worked for me

Yeh theres no quick fix. 1.5 mile shouldn't be to taxing for your legs its just intense on the lungs. So try adding a day at the gym on the rowing machine between running days to help build your lungs up + its low impact. When I started out I ran every chance I got and nothing else got my time down but missed selection dam shin splints!

You could always do some swimming our cycling anything that gives your legs a good work out

Try mixing things up a bit...
Long endurance runs
Short fast runs (e.g. your 1.5 miler)
Hill sprints
Interval training
Circuit training whilst running (pressups etc every 5 minutes or similar...)
Cross country
Moonwalking (OK maybe not that...

)
If you only practice your 1.5 miler you'll get bored and your body won't adapt to running in general so try other stuff as well.

Also "spinning" (studio cycling) is a great non-impact workout that can really help your running, in terms of CV as well as working the muscles used.

thnks for the advise i will take it into consideration and i train with a sunday league football team once a week but i can't see any changes
