EOD questions, joining and requirements?

Hey everyone, I'm looking for some info on bomb disposal.

I'm currently 25 and not involved with the armed forces, however since the max recruitment age is like 30 something now and IEDs are killing people I figure I might fancy getting involved with EOD.

Problem is, I clearly don't know anything about the army and I'd just like to find out more about what I'd need to do / know to get myself into bomb disposal and what i'd be getting myself into.

I plan on giving myself a while to get motivated / get into shape, I'm just finding it very hard to find any information on these guys and what they do.

First port of call is your local AFCO.
Tell them you're interested and see what they say - if you're committed and determined you might get some useful info and guidance.
Hopefully you'll get some info and advice from people on here too but don't rely just on that
