Need help identifying these uniforms...

Calling all military experts! A relative of mine recently found these two photos of family members, but we're not sure which family members they are because we can't place the uniforms. One could possibly be a Belgian uniform from the late 1800s. The other, I'm assuming is a British uniform, but can anyone be more specific?
