Afternoon chaps
Been a while since my last post, bit of a nightmare with the arrest, but it got resolved and i paid for the damage direct! Lesson learnt.
Right...ill be honest from the off, the army as a career option took a back seat for a while, had a long think about whether i wanted the army as a career, looked at other forces etc, cut a long story short, i want to join the army. I personaly want to go into intel corps ( alot of people have received abuse for getting the name incorrect - ill await the banter if i have ) Few questions, mainly being is the intake still high? What score is needed in the Barb to be able to apply?
Also my main concern, 2 months ago injured my knee playing football, cartillage damage was the diagnosis...after 8 weeks i still cant run, got a up and coming visit to the surgeons soon to see what the best option is...soooo do i apply now and get as far as i can until the physical side comes around or would you hold on? Wont have a clue how long ill be out of action for if worst case scenario an op is needed? but suspect 2-3 months?
Any advice or past expeirence would be good
Cheers

Recruiting is on a High at the moment so you will have to wait. As to your offence, is it recorded did you go to court or any Police warnings?
The injury to your knee could take a lot more than 2-3 months to fix, if you have surgery that involves anything more than "keyhole" surgery then you will need a fair bit of physio before you can train properly.
I would get yourself fit first then apply. (may be worth ringing your local AFCO and chatting about your offences).

The Int Corps has a massive backlog of applicants as its a very sought after job.
5 GCSEs are needed at C grade and Must include Maths/English and either a science or a Language.
Barb score of 65 needed
Any Surgery done will defer you for 12 months minimum.
Criminal Records are not look at favourably for the Corps either.
