Medical Help

Post by Biggy »

Hi, I wounder if anyone can help...

Last year I applied to join the TA, however during the medical screening I stupidly mentioned that I had pain's in my knee a few years earlier due to having one leg slightly shorter than the other, therefore I failed the medical. The Doctor said I should go and get it checked out because it could cause problems later in life, so I did. I got my knee examined and had x-rays, but the hospital couldn't see anything wrong and said I shouldn't worry about it. I haven't felt any pain for years now.

So, I have now decided to join the Navy when I finish Uni, will the failed medical hinder my application even though the hospital have said there is nothing wrong and I am feeling no pain at all.

Thank
Ste

Hello fella

I have a friend who is going through a similar thing now with the ARMY only his is to do with his heart and back i believe!

Yeh, anyway the hospital have cleared him and ADSC have given him the clear to go and try again so i have the understanding that as long as your cleared in civvie street you should be ok buddy although i know this isn't always the case.

All the best

Andy
