Post by Jordan »

Hey, Im Jordan. Posted here ages ago but not to sure if i ever introduced myself, So hi.

I live in New Zealand, however im a British citizen (Born in England to a kiwi dad and english mum). Moved to NZ in 1994, a day after my 4th birthday.
Anyway, im currently applying for the NZ army as a rifleman.
Am hoping to get into the Febuary Intake, start of 2010.
As far as im aware theres no New Zealand equivelant to this forum so although i really have nothing to do with the UK Military, Im sure I'll still benefit from the advice, discussions and what not here, and get to know some great people in the process :D .

Cyas around!

Yeh cheers Luke haha.
Why didnt i join the British army?, I have lived in NZ since i was 4, so its home. I have a girlfriend, all my mates etc here so its the NZ army for now, i think joining the army will be a big enough challenge without moving to an entierly different country and all that would bring.
Though i would like to look into some kind of transfer or something one day, depending on how it all goes.

Thanks bro. Yeh all the best for you to, go hard :D . Yeh id say thats be rifleman here, thats what my number 1 choice is, then field engineer.... But i hope like stink I'll get in as a rifleman.

Im doing my application online, 90 questions relating to all sorts of things.
I dont know all the slang, But yeh theres a optometrist test, medicals, aptitude, phsyical, intelligence all sorts. Career days, training days. So im in the very early stages of it all, but im determined so hopefully it all goes well.

Was really fit a year ago, then slacked off.... So working hard to get back up to scratch haha.

Edit... Yeh theres no way you could tell im British born, kiwi as they come i think. My mum still has a bit of an accent though haha.
