88 on barb test
88 on barb test
Hi
Just done my barb test on thursday and was planning to go royal engineers, C3systems.
After the test I was sat down with a list of jobs, I was told I scored 88 and would be better joing AGC doing a HR & finance job.
does any1 know if this is a good job or what?

I am a Recruiter and will always put people in the job they actually want!!!!
Englishman are you a recruiter????? or have you ever been?????
Our job is to suggest the job that might suit you, we do not have job quotas to fill and cetainly do not gain BROWNIE POINTS as you put it for putting certain people into certain trades
May I also say the only target I have ever had was for how many people joined the army regardless of what cap badge. Your recruiter does a tough job for very little recognition. try getting promoted whilst in recruiting!!!!! We have up to 60 applicants at a time and we try to do our best for each and everyone of them.
Oh and just to finish off our target for people in the army doesnt count untill YOU THE APPLICANT passes Basic training!!!!

I went for the army air corps, and my recruiter was more than happy with my choice, I only got told to have more than one job option. He certainly did not push me into a corps i did not want to be in.

I went to the carrers office with a firm head on that i wanted t join the infantry. My recruiter pushed me away form it immidetly and at a later point during my application suggest being a recovery mechanic, wich i personally would rather join the hair dressing core. Do what you want, my recruiter eventully pushed me in the engineers direction and i am waiting selection, but i am still having second thought. Want to be a para. Is it too late to ring him up and say i am not sure. "too late meening only weeks from ADSC
When i went for my barb i got a 72, my recruiter kept trying to get me to go the signals route, i originally wanted to join ither the marines or para's but for some reason i have gone for RAC crewman i guess ile get a trade and skills and i can still get my maroon beret wings and commando dagger.
