REME Shipwright?

Post by gorillapower »

Hi all, I have looked far and wide for information regarding REME Shipwright. Does anyone know or is anyone familiar with the Shipwright job personally?

I know they get trades training and repair and maintain sea vessels, I mean is it possible anyone knows any other details? Sorry I cant be more specific, I suppose I mean, What is the day to day life of REME Shipwright like, pros and cons?

What are the pros and cons for RE and REME on the whole for that matter? I either want to be a RE, REME or Artillery.

And lastly, probably and asked question, what are the chances of being deployed to operations? Does everyone get deployed? Just a rough gauge is fine.

Appreciate your time!

Expect 18 months between tours as a general rule. Can't be more specific with regard to your chosen trade I'm afraid, I don't know, but as I understand it Govt. guidelines do still state at least 18 months between tours. Doesn't mean you always get that long, but then you may be lucky and get longer.
