A Good Music Site [ At least I Think It Is ]

Post by dave1234 »

I've been completely out of touch with most things electronic for the last three years, so apologies in advance if everybody knows about the following link.

If you- all do, it'll be like me saying "I've found this great burger place called Mcdonalds" and I'll feel a right wally. Be kind.

Have been looking for a good music site on the internet where you don't have to click too many buttons and constantly sign in in order to just hear a few songs whilst working on the computer.

I came across this one:

http://www.actionext.com/

I just put in a few names individually in the search window:

Rhianna

The Clash

Katy Perry

Roxy Music

The Rolling Stones

Robbie Williams

A bunch of songs came up and all the ones I put in lasted all the way through [ instead of just a sample ].

It's actually a ring tones site.

Hope someone likes it. Sound quality was not bad.

Had someone's elbow stuck in my back for four hours today and was not feeling very happy. Found Mr. Robbie Williams singing "Angels" live on it and am purring quite happily now .....

Bunch of good memories coming back;

Jimmy Buffett Margaritaville … Airport Camp… little bush bars outside Belmopan

Van Morrison Brown Eyed Girl … Brit Club on the beach; little British tropical island with nothing to do but drink. Few dozen brits and a zillion septics.

Stones Paint it Black … Victory Pub

Supergrass… Brit Club Islamabad

Don’t know about you, but just the first few bars of some songs transports me years back as clear as crystal.

Back to reality… have to wash the dishes. Nice while it lasted.

Dave, if you're just after listening whilst you work (as opposed to downloading) check out Pandora. It's basically online radio that you can tell what you like and don't, and it customises itself to your preferences. Means you discover new stuff you've never even heard of that's right up your street too. Wireless hi-fi type things that support it are big in the States, limited availability over here but on a computer it's pretty good.

Cheers D

That's a really good site.

Am stuck in the house a lot and something like that really helps my day along. I have bad tinnitus and need to have something playing in the background when I'm on the computer as that "ssssssss ...." makes it difficult to concentrate.

20 years of Cd's had to be left behind when I had to leave Nigeria overnight three years ago. Broke my heart. Really gutted. All my favorites.
