Drop outs during basic
Drop outs during basic
This is another one of my random questions that I would like a answer too. During basic Infantry training (i.e not Para or RM) how many drop out? Not that I am in any mind set like that just seeing all the stupid waster chavs on sites like Bebo and places like that saying they are going into basic soon and I really don't want to be serving with people like that
.

I dont no the proper figures for the infantry, but for the Royal Marines id say about 6 originals out of about 50 recruits would pass out of that troop. I think about 50% of infantry would pass out.
Its hard to get a steady figure of dropouts, i persoannly think that weather and homesick play a big role.
Correct me if im wrong..
Rick.

'chav' dickheads or prats will get weeded out in the first week. trust me. either that or they will drop the 'big time charley' act and progress. serving soldiers dont want this immature trash and the training staff wont be the ones responsible for passing them up the lines to the regiments and battalions. i didnt really notice it first time round as a recruit with the paras - but then that was with the TA Battalion and the recruits tend to be older more worldly wise and perhaps switched on due to age. The second time as a recruit in the regular forces and being somewhat older i noticed the geeks (chavs). one of them decided he would come into my sections room and up tip bed of youngest/smallest lad in room. not on, few home truths at him from me then a squaring up then a BOOMF OUT MY FACE/ROOM in front of his pals and hey presto he was made to look a clown. my section cpl got wind of this and asked me what id done to which i said 'just told him to f@ck off' . next day on parade drill sgt took him to one side and gave him THE most awesome bollockin I have ever heard in my life. Even I shat myself as I thought i was next in line for being involved! never happened though! mega!
'Every man an Emperor'
Yeah, Just some of them on these Social sites are seriously...I don't know what they are but they don't deserve to breathe in my opinion. Watching videos of the regiments in Afghanistan and pictures of them on exercises etc don't think I have seen one Chav looking person yet
. I bet none of them have the discipline to get beasted at 1am or do a 6/10 mile run or anything like that anyway.
Great story! did he last full training or did he go home crying to mummy?gunner75 wrote:'chav' dickheads or prats will get weeded out in the first week. trust me. either that or they will drop the 'big time charley' act and progress. serving soldiers dont want this immature trash and the training staff wont be the ones responsible for passing them up the lines to the regiments and battalions. i didnt really notice it first time round as a recruit with the paras - but then that was with the TA Battalion and the recruits tend to be older more worldly wise and perhaps switched on due to age. Hahaha fair dues. If he changed his attitude then its all good, I just can't be doing with having to works with the scum you find on the street when I go to basic.gunner75 wrote:actually very funny that. he changed his act and we ended up gettin on. i thought i were good at pulling birds haha. anyway no he didnt pass training but that was because he wanted to transfer to the paras... funny that.
Well I am quite thin but not as bad as him and the hair colour is all wrong....it just would'nt work...back to the drawing board.gunner75 wrote:nah. pay is peanuts and people think your that lanky streak of p*ss crouch.
I know I could find some chavs and point out where they went wrong in life!! Genius!!

Re: Drop outs during basic
I was on a brief last week and this was one of the topics, here is the percentage of recruits that will eventually pass out after starting basic training.tom163 wrote:This is another one of my random questions that I would like a answer too. This also includes recruits who get injured/backsquadded and pass out with other platoons than the one they originally started with.
Line Infantry 80%
Royal Marines 60%
Para Regt 25%
