...the merge!

Really, really good to see some enthusiatic recruits/recruits to be taking so much from this site to feel the need to add something to it with whatever they have.

This is what the Military Forums are about. This is what they have always been about and I think this is what we have been missing recently.

I have been a member for some years and I am loving to the positive air about the place. The sofas are polished, the cookhouse has erased the E Coli.

Who bought the Febreeze? Can't imagine Beast would dish out for it

The merger has come at the right time for this site and has given some welcome CPR to what was becoming a dying forum. (Families At War eh?! )

Fresh blood, fresh air and some fresh posts.... Just what the doctor ordered.


On another note, I have updated the details of the lads who have died on Ops since the beginning of the year on the Remembrance section. I appreciate that not everyone may want to read or contribute to these threads, (how many times can you say RIP?) but after a bit of thought have decided that it would be a shame to let this roll of honour fizzle out.

The guys deserve to at least have their names recorded on this site in memoriam

Hope we don’t have to post too many more of the damn things during 2009 .... Let’s see what this year brings......

I like it to... if only to meet new posters you didn't get to see over on MFAT, time will tell on how it works in the long run... but after being a bit gutted at first (thought they'd basically ditched MFAT rather than merging it) I can see the idea and that it's going down nicely.

I agree. Previously I'd only used MFAT.
This way I feel I'm exposed to a wider range of information.
I suppose before I was mainly focussed on just training to join up, now I benefit from more general discussions.

I'm sure I remember someone saying on Mil Fourms before the merge that there was a picture of you floating around here and you looked really hot, so I say let's whack them up!

Oh, back to topic, I think the megre is really good, much better than Mfat on it's own. Just hope more of the 'older' members will now want to come back. I'm not sayng the current mods aren't good enough, you've done an excellent job. Billy was right, the forums were dying and hopefully this would have solved the problem.

I like the merge, i really only used MFAT (was a celebrity member doesnt matter ill work my way back up) and it was the same people replying 95% of the time, not many new members but now there is alot more people here! Does Military Forums advertise? I think it would be a good idea.

I only used Mfat, but i was kinda new anyway , i love the merge so much more information.
