Fitness Test

Post by dave88 »

A quick question, once you have been accepted and got through all of your training etc and are fully 'in' the RAF, is there any sort of fitness tests you have to undertake yearly for example to be allowed to carry on in the job?

Yes.
It's every 6 months now though!
It's the same bleep test, sit-ups and press-ups that you'll do a few times in training, plus they take your height, weight and waist measurements.
You can have peace.
Or you can have freedom.
Don't ever count on having both at once.

I believe the RAF Regiment do their own ROFA (regimental operational fitness asessment) every 6 months too. Basically a more in depth fitnesss assessment including a speed march with kit, weight lift/carry and a couple of other 'real life' things, along with the standard bleep test, etc that the other trades have.
