Yet another introduction.

Post by Lumley »

Good evening to everybody, i hope everybody is well.

Il make it brief, Im charlie, i live in warwick in the midlands, i am about to hand my application into the RM, and currently training for the PRMC.

I havn't been doing all that well, i am a slim build, and i play indoor football, outdoor also, i shoot, down the range and also down one of the local farms with air rifle with my 'ol man'.

Il be totally honest, im struggling with the fitness, I have been running 5 miles, and i have done it twice so far, (i believe that i should run 5 because its better than running the exact three, and better than 3.5) and the first time i ran it i got 40 minutes, not too good hey? and the second time... 38 minutes, i have consistency but not the speed... i read about people doing ~20 minutes for 3 miles? hmm double for 5? Hmm :(

The pushups are... how should i put it, Hard, the whole straight arms and then shoulders on the ground ... i can do 20, but not too much more at all.

I swim very regurlarly too.

Is there any foods or drinks or anything that will aid me in my fitness or stength?

Il be monitoring the forums regurlarly, aswell as the sister. Thanks. Charlie.

If you can attain the requirements needed for the PRMC then you should have no problems. If you have problems then may I suggest you check out the part of the forum where people ask for training partners. It's much easier to train with a guy who has similar aspirations to yourself than to do it all on your own.

Shweet!

JUst thought i would say, i ran 2.2 miles today, just as a short burst, as my usual of 5 and i ran it in 14.27 minutes.

Not too shabby, One big incline & decline but was a mudtrack.
