Pay during basic training
How do you get paid during basic training? Is it the same as in the Army? where they give you a sum as cash in hand for the first few weeks? And is it monthly or weekly?

Hi,
You'll always get paid monthly, last working day of each month.
The new pay scales are in the link provided (effective from 1st Apr 08).

A bit of a cryptic comment there Brett, would you care to elaborate?Brett B wrote:Pay doesn't really bother me about the regiment, nor will it.
There's a lot of truth in the old saying that money makes the World go round you know.
No matter what you think now, when you're in, it'll be a totally different matter.
No money = No beer.
No money = No car.
No money = No women (not 100% true, but at least 95%)

Yeah, I might struggle a bit, my current wage is £26000 pa, so the drop may take some adjusting to. I can't see me needing much throughout training though, surely you don't get much time to spend it.Alex Himself wrote:Personally, I'd save money up before going in if you can, or at least be debt free, it is hard for some people starting off on the basic salary, although you may not think so.Brett B wrote:Pay doesn't really bother me about the regiment, nor will it.
