Boxcercise And Spinning

Post by commandocrazy »

Hi all I've started to do boxcercise and spinning at the gym I go to the only thing is I can only do boxcercise twice a week; Mondays and Thursdays and spinning 2 or 3 times a week is this enough?? (I still do all my other training) And will it help me in losing weight and my prep for the Royal Marines??

Spinning is a pretty good cardio workout, so will help if you are aiming to burn of excess fat. Personally I've never been a big fan of boxercise but if you find it works then stick with it.

Out of interest, which gym in leeds are you going to?

Both are top exercises, get as much in as your body is ok with... there is no set point where by everyone beings over training, it all depends on past conditioning and your body’s natural limit (other things like age, diet etc also affect this)

A lot of people seem to think that over training is an easy thing to do. When they get a bit tired and sore the think that they have done too much etc.

I find it comical sometimes reading forums and speaking to people in gyms what peoples views about over training are. I see it a lot in the body building community (no this isn't a dig at bodybuilders!), folks who worry about training the same muscle group twice a week or something like that. Your body can take an awful lot if you build up to it.

When I’m in full swing (currently got some niggling injury’s that I’m sorting out) I often train twice a day on week days and the probably one tough session on the weekends... adds up to about 11 sessions a week, this isn't much compared to some people and I am by no means anything special but it just shows how much the body can take with out 'over training'.

Just be sensible and listen to your body is what I’m trying to say... once again sorry for babbling, hope it helped though
