Injured, help

Post by jimmh12 »

Ive got my PRMC on the 18th of march but injured myself a few days ago. I was doing pressups then my arm just gave way, it hurts just above the bicep and between the armpit and hurts ike f*ck everytime i move it. Any ideas on what i might have done and anything i can do to help it heal?

This could be a number of things from a strained muscle to a torn ligament. However, if you're also experiencing a tightness in your pectoral muscle on the same side of your body as the injued arm then you may have unseated your bicepral tendon. I've done this a couple of times myself. However, I'm fortunate enough to be training with people who can reseat it for me if it comes off line.

If this is your problem then you need to go and see a physio. Personally if I was you, I'd go anyway.

Cheers

If you have the cash, go to see a private physio right now. I'd miss out the GP as in my experience you'll just get fobbed off. In the meantime ice the area for 10-15 mins 3 times a day. You could also take ibuprofen as it has an anti-inflamatory effect.

As ever I'm not a doctor etc etc...
