A tad confused, help please!!!!

Having just read on this site that there is to be a detachment opened in Nottingham which with me living in Sheffield is excellent news as it is closer than Leeds and Manchester, I am seriously now considering the RMR. As I have mentioned in previous threads and as you can tell by my name I hope to become an Officer in the Regs once I finish uni.

I am just slightly confused as to what happens in the transfer from reserves to regs, I understand that on completition of training you are awarded your green lid but does that mean you could than transfer straight into the Regs without going through RT? Seems silly that you would have your beret presented to you and then you get another after completing RT? And what stage would you go in at in Officer training, I would presume since it is harder than normal RT it would be at the start?

Sorry if all this seems a stupid post I am just confused how everything works.
