I am supposed to have my PRMC in just over a week (the 23rd), though lately, on my runs I feel less fit, i.e. not being able to push out 3 miler on 21:30 times.
Also I been getting pain in my inner shin on right leg, I have a few little nagging problems like knee pain every now and then, but I really dont want to put off my PRMC.
The question is what should I do, I want to go on PRMC, though if I do and fail on medical grounds thats a 6 month wait, though if I pass PRMC then have injury i.e. shinsplits I'll have to postpone RT.
Or I could postpone PRMC for a few weeks then try get another once I get my problem checked out??
Though I really want to get PRMC over with and start RT. This just proper annoying . Advise me well.
Please buy a new keyboard as the shift button seems to have broken on the one you have now (don't worry, I've fixed your post for you!).

quick question
Only you can answer this one really.
If it was me though, I would have a rest off running for 4 or 5 days, then go for run and see how you feel. Knowing me I would go to prmc whatever if they are just niggles.
If you seriously don't think you can do the run in the required time then theres no point in going though.
Confused?!

Rest a couple of days (maybe focus on some light swimming and body weight stuff) then go on a light run and "feel" it out, as was said only you can decide.
Just remember putting it back a few week's and passing is much, much better than being that eager beaver who drops of the course due to injury.
Best of luck what ever happens.
Stokey

Thats what i was thinking, im going to try see a physio before i go down there and see what they can do.Just remember putting it back a few week's and passing is much, much better than being that eager beaver who drops of the course due to injury.
The 3 mile run for PRMC im pretty sure i can pass though the work on bottom field ect i got a bad feeling when i push myself, i may further injure myself, the shins i realy dont want to get shin splints.
Anyhow as guy said id rather put back a couple of weeks than go down there give it all and either do more problems or fail on medical and be stuck for 6 months.
Mate sounds like your overdoing the training a bit too much. I know you're getting nervous about your prmc but I would recommend staying off the running for a few days if your hurting. As said do swimming or cycling or even row. Rowing is a good workout CV as well as upper body. Try and do 1000 meter row in under 3:25. That will get you breathing out your asshole. I think it's all in your head mate. Get to the physio and check it out but ultimately just lay off impact stuff. Sometimes less is more!!!
I cant row sisne i dont belong to gym or know where to find rowing machine.
Anyhow, i going to do a run today and see how i feel, , if it gets bad doing 3 miler then il have to putt it off, sinse it better putt off i guess than wait 6 months .
**edit** the forum doesnt regester every time i type, maybe problem with scripting on ur side, sinse when you type some letters appear in "pre post" then dissappear once you lick submit"

Sorry Jarhead, but you're going to have to make more of an effort with your posts. What on Earth are you trying to say?jarhead wrote:I ant row sisne i dont belogn to gym or know where to find row things.

I'm going to do some more runs i.e. 3 miles ect. and see how I feel, since fitness wise i feel up to it, but I know that I would be proper pissed off if I get injured (most likely on bottom field). Especially if it makes my shin worse then I'd have to wait 6 months until I can reapply which would SUCK.
So I guess if the worst comes to the worst, I'll postpone for a few weeks then do some swimming and keep up my running while the doctor can fix it up.
I've done my best to make your post coherent without changing too much, but it's not easy. Please take your time and think about what you are writing before pressing 'submit'.
