BARB test

Post by bobishungry »

I did my BARB test recently and have told the guys at the AFCO that I want to join the paras. I scored 79 and since then they have been almost ordering me not to join the inf. What is there problem, is 79 good becuase i dont know since they didnt say what it was out of. Could someone please enlighten me why the recuiters are being this way and wont just let me join the paras without being a nagging pain.

A lot of recruiters seem to try and steer lads away from Para Reg. 79 is a fine score from what I understand, and I imagine recruiters are encouraged to line up the higher scoring candidates with the more technical / academic jobs. It should be obvious, though, that scoring highly doesn't disqualify you from any jobs which have lower score requirements.

Two things. One, you aren't in yet, they can't order you to do anything. Two, people are trying to discourage you? And...? If you really want Para Reg, you'll make sure you get Para Reg.

Airborne Initiative laddie. You might start by reading the Reg website carefully ;-)
