Type of body build

Post by tom163 »

This is a bit of a dodgy question but im going to ask anyway, I was having a chat with one of my dads friends who used to serve with the Paras and he asked me what type of body build I have so I told him and he said because I was had skinny/thin build (its not like my ribs are visable or anything like that though) I would struggle with the bergen carrying etc which I can understand in some ways, I wanted to know has any thin people passed P-Coy before or do they end up getting injured etc?

plenty of lads who are like rakes pass p-coy especially in my platoon they all made me look like a right fat tw4t as i told you before i think its 90% in youre head anyway i think the main body shape not to have is to be short with legs like little chipolatas as u'll be more or less doubling all the way round just to keep up pace with everyone else

When I was doing recruit training for 15coy (TA paras Scotland) the CSM was about 5' tall and built like old man steptoe.

Yet he ran on the weekend TABs with us carrying the same 35+lbs... it's all in the head.

incidentally I'm 5'11, was 14.5 stone then and failed.

It's not the dog in the fight, its the fight in the dog.

Doc, you should be glad people aren't into pretending they are all Borat. I'm sure that would leave you with a mighty headache ;)

Very Nice.

There are stacks of "small" people that pass P Coy mate. Most have the ability if they can drag the fight out of them and stay injury free.

Good luck. It's hard but worth it.

There were loads of different body types in my old plt. mate, as long as you keep up with the fitness, you'll pass P-Coy! Get your application done ASAP too mate, because Christmas time will hold you up anyway. Everyone is on holiday!
