No, just joking. I'm an RNRist and would consider myself to be of "average" fitness. I want this changed. A friend suggested I phone up my local RMR detachment and ask if I can take part in holding troops/phys nights/etc as a boost to my own personal training. Would this be allowed??

I guess it will depend on what det you are at, for example I know the holding troop at RMR London anyone can turn up once the presentation has been attended.
Where as other units require you to have completed all of the admin before joining the troop. In your case as you are already in per say I am not sure how it would work unless you were actually deciding to go down the RMR route which many RNR bods actually do.
I doubt they would let you just turn up for the phys as they would be getting zero out of it but I may be way off here. They would have to issue you with kit for parade etc and what would you do about the lectures? As always your best bet is giving your local unit a bell and seeing what the score is, you never know you may get hooked on the RMR!
I’m sure the PTIs will have fun with you though!

Always nice to see Jack volunteering for extra phys.
If you phone the TO (Training Officer) of the Unit in question, or perhaps even get your own Unit hierachy to do it for you then you will probably get the green light.
Who knows you might like it so much that you turn from the dark side.
