PRMC pass!!

Post by jonno2006 »

hi guys,

well, passed my PRMC this week, second time lucky. over the moon.
no idea of times/scores unfortunately but got level 11.2 on the bleep test and were told that no one got over 4 mins on the assault course. bottomfield, once again, was the hardest part. course started with about 40 blokes, 25/30 passed.
cannot wait to crack on with RT, but theres still a few things i need to get sorted at home first.
any questions, feel free to ask.
cheers,

one-very-happy-jonno

What were the main reasons for the other blokes dropping out?

Fitness? Determination?
well two guys finished the 3 miler in the back of the transit, 4/5 failed due to not being fast enough. we lost another 4/5 on the determination test and i think 2/3 just left because it wasnt for them.

press-ups?

Post by MadAd »

First of all congrats on passing ur PRMC mate bet ur really chuffed!
Just wanted to know are the instructors on the PRMC really picky about press-ups and sit-ups? I heard they are really picky on the way you perform a press-up, e.g keeping ur elbows in etc?

yes mate they are, but some are more picky than others. just keep training yourself to do them the "marine way" and youll be fine.

On the PRMC what are the minimum requirements for the pressups situps and pullups as well as the bleeptest or dont they bother with minimum requirements anymore?

there was a lad who got 23 press ups and passed and another lad who got level 10.10 on the bleep test and passed.
dont train to just scrape through on PRMC, train to get as high a marks as possible!!
