Having watched those videos again... I think PRMCs are getting easier. We had no inspections on ours. I don't think anyone even checked to see if our beds were made.
We had no ironing to do.
We had no warm up for the bleep test... Which, on the videos, is where most people were feeling ill.
Is PRMC a realistic look at life at lympstone... Or just a test to see if you're fit enough?
I know that in the first three weeks of RT I will be ironing more than anything else... but how does PRMC compare to a couple of days in RT in, say, week four?
Will it be the same amount of PT as PRMC but tonnes of admin aswell?? Any input will be appreciated. Cheers.

Nah, PRMC is just phys and thats it, nothing else to worry about. Week 4 of training you won't stop moving, you will be moving between lectures to the gym, the swimming pool, and you will be up most of the night sorting your kit out for inspection the next day. You won't have time to sit around until sat afternoon, and all day sunday.
We are what we do

Tell me about it ! My legs are still achingtomharto30 wrote:Nah your right, but prmc isn't designed to measure your fitness, its designed to measure your determination and will to carry and get good scores when your nackered.
I dont think day 1 does much to show determination, all that comes on day 2.

Thanks for the responses.
"Its a shame you dont get to see what life is like at a unit."
I agree... even if it was for just for a few days at least it would give you a good idea of what training will be like. OK, fair enough, they wouldn't issue you with your own rifle... But it would be nice to know what to expect.
