Knee Cap

Post by chak »

Hi, sorry to make another thread on possible injury but i thought best ask here before going docs since a lot of you will have been doing same sorta phyz as me, so might have experienced it.

basicly for the last week i've had this pain on the inside/top bit of my left kneecap. But when it first came up i didn't do anything strenuous like running too much or kicking someone or falling over. Tried ice on it too but hasnt dont much.

anyone had a similar pain or any ideas?? :)

hi chak

i had a similar thing but mine was on the outside of my right knee i was worried about it but the physio at the gym said it was just runners knee and just to rest it and the pain lasted about a week and now seems to have easied off.

i didnt do any running on it while it was like this just biked alot.

anyways it might be that and it might not best to get it cheaked out especially so close to RT

It only has four options but narrows down to 4 most common knee complaints for runners, you'll know your own pain though, perhaps rest a little bit, or you might need to get it checked out if it feels more serious.

inside of knee cap, could be:

1. Medial meniscus tear
2. Medial plica syndrome
3. Medial collateral ligament injury
4. Patellafemoral pain syndrome

Check with physio so close to RT. They will do consultation and try to diagnose injury

Good Luck,
