RMP

Post by flying ninja »

Hello all not posted here in a while, i've been busy with sixth form, which is the most mind numbing experience of my life and is driving me mental.
Well since i posted here last i've been looking at the Royal Military Police, well i have a couple of questions.

First off is my eyesight and before i go toddling off down to the local AFCO could someone tell me if this prescription is ok for the RMP:

I don't understand them at all so i copied it i'll show it to you lot so if you know what it means you can give me a hand.

Secondly, would the RMP be good for setting me up for a career after the army?

And lastly, has anyone used the army's fitness plan off of the army's website, and is it helpfull in any way?
I'm a proffesional walt, Don't listen to me!

Unfortunately I'm not an optician, nor do I know the eyesight standards allowed, but unaided vision of 6/5 and 6/7.5 doesn't sound bad. Isn't 6/6 considered perfect vision?

Glasses are permitted in the RMP, but ask your AFCO for the current standards.

Eyesight Standards The standard personal weapon is the SA80 and this requires vision in the right eye to be correctable to no less than 6/9. Vision in the left eye must be correctable to no less than 6/36. Spectacle correction must be no greater than -7diopters or +8 in any meridian. Certain types of surgery or laser treatment to correct visual defects are unacceptable and clarification should be sought prior to application.

When I did my tests I think VA of 6/6 N5 was in the top standard so yours looks ok, and that was the important bit so I was told, did your optician not explain it all to you.
