Finally Getting Somewhere!

Post by Gravityguy »

After many months of trying to get through the application process at my local AFCO (as they have constantly fobbed me off), the recruitment team at Colchester have told me to transfer my application to Liverpool where there is a specialist para recruiter. I spoke to him earlier and he said there is no reason that i won't be in by April.

I can do all my stuff (1st & 2nd interview, ADSC brief and get ADSC date) on one day. He's even calling my local office for me to ask them to send all my stuff to Liverpool!

Finally, i have some hope of actually getting in, and in only 8 weeks too!!

I just hope nothing goes wrong in the mean time.

Still good (although after 2 weeks of skydiving and partying in Spain, probably not as good as it was  ).

For the next 7 weeks, i shall be beasting myself to the extreme and really getting my fitness to the next level!! :D

Can't wait to get in now. Today has made it feel realistic as opposed to just some sort of obscure dream!

There are apparently still 24 places left for the April intake so i should hopefully get in according to the para in Liverpool.

Like you say Paratrooper01, Happy Days!!! :D :D :D

Thats the one, he is 'The Man'. He's going to call me tomorrow once he's spoken to my local AFCO and asked them to send my stuff up to him. I just wish i knew about him sooner :)

Forgot to reply to this, sorry. If i get in for April it will be the 22nd. There were 14 places left yesterday and Richie was hopeful that i would be in time to get one of those. If it's not that date though, the next one is apparently May 3rd of which i will definately get if i miss out on April.

Got to go up to Liverpool next week for both interviews, basic computer test thing and ADSC brief. I've been informed that i should be doing ADSC within 10 days of this.

Bring it on!! :D

Well im about to start my application soon. The staff at the insight course told me to take a few months of training before i started anything.
Well those few months are nearly up!

Hopefully i shouldn't get any hassle as you did.

I have met Richie before, hes a top bloke. You cant go too far wrong with him as he seems to put his neck out for recruits which is pretty rare in my experiance.

Most of the Afco's at Liverpool Afco are pretty good anyway.

Good work on that mate.

Cheers mate, just looking forward to getting in now. I go up to Liverpool tomorrow to do all my stuff (my former name was gravity guy by the way).

Hopefully it should all go well :)
