Yeah, that was mentioned in my PRMC diary. There were lads watching our PRMC on a "Look at Life" course (the Corporals were taking the piss out of us. I think thats why they were laughing)

hey. . . i went down on a look at life a few weeks back now, it give a look at life whilst your going though training. the guys in charge arent shouting at you, they like to have a laugh, but the course is designed to show you what you will be facing. the course lasts a week, arrive down there on a monday for about 3ish, and leave at about 11 on the friday.

i have been on 3 of them now, and have my PRMC coming up on the 27th of this month. the one i have just done has confirmed that my fitness is nearly there, just have to tweek a few bits. . . but i am well on my way to doing that!!

you do the endurance course (just the 2 miles) the assault course, 3 mile run, and what would be gym test 1(bleep test, press ups, sit ups, and pull ups)

you do basic introduction to weapons, have a few basic lectures about the marines, and you get to watch the whole of gym test 1 and we watched the last bit of gym test 2 of a PRMC, which i believe JCAP3 from this site was on the same week we were down there watching!

i recommend doing the course if you havent already been down there, its a fun week and allows you to see if its what you really want to do

if you go down to your careers office, and ask someone from the RN/RM to sort you out a place on a look at life course, then they will get the paperwork out for you!

yeah. . .you will find that it is a quite college related thing, it is mainly only college groups that go there. . . but the first time i ever went, i went on my own! it is better going on your own, because you dont have to follow any rules in the evenings that are set down by the lecturers!

but never the less it is still a good experience, but i know what you mean i want to get on with my PRMC, but i really had to wait untill around this time to do it because i have to finish the end of my college course which is in the begining of july!
