Overgrasp pullups tend to work the forearms. You can do things such as squeezing a tennis ball. Also if you do a bicep curl but have the knuckles facing upwards as opposed to downwards that also works the forearm muscles.

yeh they are good ones, also if you type in strengthening forearms in google you will found many different ways to strengthen them, theres loads of different techneques (how ever you spell it) using dumbells and curl bars. Also try and look up some exercises rock climbers use, im sure that will help mate. i tend to use the dumbells and curl bar and also hang onto a chin up bar with 1 hand for 10 secs then change arms and continue that for 2 mins :D

cheers

PMSL!!

Try these - Hand grips

Use them often and you'll build your forearms and grip strength up nicely. Good thing about them is you can use them anytime, like when you're surfing mfat!

Also a very simple and effective exercise is to open you hand with your fingers stretching wide apart and flat, then clenching it and constantly doing that for about five minutes will help and you will really feel it mate :D

The best forarmy workout ive ever done is with a dumbell bar and a 5kg weight(or whatever you can handle).

Basically what you do is get a shoelace and tie it round the weight(not all the way just through the hole), then wrap it round the dumbell bar twice(in the middle) and tie it. What you do then is hold the dumbell bar (with both hands) out in front of you and keep turning it as fast as you can so the lace keeps wrapping round the bar and brings the weight up, once its up quickly unwind it and turn it the other way.

Repeat untill you cant do no more. Rest for 3 mins and repeat x 3.

designervision, why are you trying to strengthen your forearm muscle? Is it for a specific task? if so what? The muscles within the forearm (volar, brac etc ) do not always contribute to specific grip tasks as there are different elements of lower arm/hand strength.

Take a look at
www.ironmind.com

for a better idea, or post your reason.

Climbing, can't beat it for forearm and grip strength. Otherwise, the twisting wind-up exercise suggested above, reverse grip bicep curls, and wrist curls - spread your legs over a bench, lean forward and rest your forearms facing forwards between your legs so your hands hang over the end of the bench; add weight (dumbell or barbell) and flex wrists up and down - can be done both conventionally (hands rotating up towards inner forearms) and reverse (hands lifting backwards like opening a motorbike throttle).

As above though, why?

Make sure you develop both equally - provy staff at CTC were like a bunch of fiddler crabs

(no offence to provy staff, we all share those desires, just that they seemed to have more time to devote to it)
