Just one of your concerns? I served and at no time did I ever see, take part in or get bullied. Had the mick taken out of me when I joined my first unit yes thats normal. Cockup bigtime and prepare for a beasting yes but you won't be bullied. Rearrange your priorities, worry about hacking PRMC, running for miles, carrying what seems like a ton on your back, keeping your kit clean, etc, etc. And also bin the odd bit of textspeak on this site.

This can be made easier with training and is the job but being bullied day in a day out, this is something i wounldn't be able to take even for the green beret.

Its a bloody privledge to wear a Green Beret, Most of the guys in here are working their absolute asses off to get one and you come in here acting like you actually have the choice to decide whether you want one or not.

That just bloody p*sses me off.

Grow up mate.

bullying is the least of your worries at the moment.

Think about actually getting in first.

No offence, seriously. Stay in college, have a good time and go out drinking with your mates and live it up as a civilian, i did and i've had my taste of that sort of life - working behind a desk or working hard for some boss who really doesn't give a flying moose and just wants the work done and really doesn't appreciate it - thats not for me because i've always wanted a career in the forces, boring and pointless to me. I've been there, done it and didnt like it. It's not like i didnt do well in school and college because i did quite well actually. But take this time to live it up, who knows, you might change your mind, somethings aren't for everyone.

As far as bullying goes, never stand for bullying ok, if you get bullied then there are procedures in place so you can deal with it e.g. the training team. I'll go as far as that because i haven't been there in training yet. Take life a step at a time, it's all coming and you've got along way to go. But most important piece of adivce i can give you in my reply - finish college and come out with a qualification/trade.

All the best.

Cheers but i've done office work, i know what you mean by that, and i can tell it definately isn't for me, i've been in cadets for 2 years now i have a general jist of military life and how it works (not saying i've been there yet but i understand) and you gave me the only decent answer aswell, and cheers for the advice.
